The Nobel Society

The Nobel Society is the meeting place for private givers to the Netherlands Chamber Choir. Named after founding father Felix de Nobel, who founded the choir in 1937. Thanks to the contributions of The Nobel Society members, we are able to present productions that make a difference. In terms of innovation and talent development. Our Nobel Society members contribute to those internationally high-profile projects that otherwise could not come about, such as Van Gogh in Me or Vergeten, a concert about dementia. And thanks to the support of The Nobel Society, we give budding professionals a chance with the much-praised development programme NKK NXT. It is wonderful to be able to achieve this together with our Nobel Society members.

Privileges

As a member of The Nobel Society, our chief conductor and management will be the first to keep you informed about the latest developments at the Netherlands Chamber Choir. Throughout the season, we organise occasions where you can experience the intense beauty of choral singing in an exclusive manner, where you can share experiences among yourselves and make and maintain valuable contacts. And after a concert, the singers of the Netherlands Chamber Choir will of course raise a glass with you. There you will hear first-hand about the ins and outs on stage and behind the scenes.

You will receive invitations for concerts and meetings at home and abroad. Throughout the season, we share the most festive moments with you. The season opening, for example, or Bach's Weihnachts-Oratorium. You also have the opportunity to attend rehearsals of the choir exclusively.

Tax benefits

Members of The Nobel Society donate at least €1,000 per year to the NKK Fund for a period of at least five years. The NKK Fund has been classified by the Dutch tax authorities as a cultural public benefit organisation (algemeen nut beogende instelling, or ANBI, in Dutch). The favorable tax scheme currently applying to donations made to these institutions, ensures tax-deduction opportunities for your donation. The entire amount of a periodic donation for a five-year period (annuity) is - in most cases - tax deductible under Dutch tax law. 

NKK Fund

To strengthen ties with major donors and further expand this group, the NKK Fund was set up in mid-2020, which houses larger gifts and donations. Members of The Nobel Society donate to the NKK Fund. The board of the NKK Fund guarantees that your donation contributes directly to special projects of the Netherlands Chamber Choir.
